Mindat.org is amazing!

While doing some research for this series about metals I came across a particularly useful website. If you are interested in minerals, mining and commodities I'd highly recommend having a look at mindat.org as it's an extremely large open source database of minerals and rocks. There's a huge amount of information there including details about where things are mined.
