"Maximum" salaries
Right now I love the work I'm doing and I'm 100% committed to seeing the current project I'm working on make it to completion. Because I have some skills that are in extremely high demand I frequently get contacted by recruiters asking if I'd be willing to move to a different company. Here's one example lately:
I know inflation is taking off in a lot of areas1, but 10% in one day sure is a lot!
In fairness I have to say I'm impressed though, if I could make my organizations hiring budgets go up 20k per employee in such a short amount of time my job would be a lot easier.

Also I know that the labor market isn't even remotely tight in many fields which is the real reason that wages have been thus far suppressed despite the most intense monetary inflation and asset price inflation pressures that I've ever seen in my life. If the inflation that's occurring in everything else spills over into the labor market we could see prices levels change rapidly. Though that's not by any means guaranteed to happen, but that's a particularly nuanced and complex topic for another post. ↩
